Los Angeles — BELLATOR MMA announced the signing of undefeated lightweight prospect Archie “King” Colgan (4-0) to an exclusive, multi-fight deal.
Colgan, 26, began his mixed martial arts journey as a wrestler at the University of Wyoming. A standout at 157 pounds, Colgan piled up 112 wins with opposite just 40 losses. Notably, Colgan won a Big 12 conference tournament his senior season, was a United World Wrestling junior national champion, and was once a lone win shy of earning All-American honors.
As an MMA fighter, Colgan has been perfect through seven amateur and professional contests. He turned pro in 2021 following a three-fight amateur career that saw him go 3-0 with three highlight-reel, first-round knockout victories.
Colgan maintained his winning ways as a pro, scoring three straight stoppages to open his career in several promotions. He boasts a third-round knockout from an elbow, an arm-triangle submission in the first round, and a first-round slam knockout inside the BELLATOR MMA cage among his four professional wins.
Most recently, Colgan defeated Dylan Mantello by unanimous decision in March under the Eagle FC banner.
Colgan’s addition to the BELLATOR lightweight division follows the signings of other top lightweight prospects including Tofiq Musayev (18-4) and Mansour Barnaoui (19-4) to what is quickly becoming one of the promotion’s deepest weight classes.
