LOS ANGELES – Megan Trapp has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Live Event Marketing, Bellator. In her new role, Trapp will oversee live event marketing for Bellator, including all promotions, sponsorship activation, ticket sales and consumer products.
Trapp has played an integral role in Bellator's rapid expansion over the last few years into a global powerhouse, selling out arenas all around the world. In fact, Bellator 206 from San Jose, Calif.'s SAP Center in September delivered the second highest gate in organization history.
"During her tenure at Bellator, Megan's local marketing expertise and acumen has been vital as we have experienced record attendance and gate revenue in major markets from New York to Los Angeles," said Scott Coker, Bellator President.
Trapp joined Bellator in 2013 as Executive Director, Live Event Marketing and was responsible for live event marketing and ticketing.
She joined Bellator following a four-year stint as Marketing Director for the Harlem Globetrotters. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Live Event Marketing Executive at World Wrestling Entertainment.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, she began her career in marketing with the NBA's Portland Trailblazers.
