Last week Live in Tampa was awesome, as Emanuel Newton continues his Cinderella story, and now has a chance to avenge his controversial loss to Attila Vegh for the Light Heavyweight World Title.
The “Caveman” David Rickels earned his shot at the Lightweight World title and had the most incredible walk out (Dinosaur included) that I’ve ever seen. His walkout made SportsCenter and he hadn’t thrown a punch!
Tonight live from Revel in Atlantic City should be absolutely spectacular. This casino is magnificent and the venue is an absolute jewel. This is by far one of the nicest venues we’ve ever had an event in and it’s fitting as tonight’s show may be the best collection of world class talent we’ve had on a single show so far.
In our Main Event, Pat Curran vs. Shahbulat for the Featherweight World Title literally has fight of the year written all over it. Between the two of them in their last 6 fights, 5 of them were KO’s. These are two of the most explosive 145ers on the planet and this should be great.
Frodo-Richman is just a nasty scrap that could be a Main event if we were in any other week on our schedule.
Marshall-Cooper should be a great fight. Marshall has been a highlight reel at Bellator and Cooper just keeps evolving and becoming a world class fighter in every facet of his game. The winner will earn $100,000 and a world title fight with our champion Shlemenko
And….we kick off our night with Karo-Hawn a battle of Judo blackbelts who really genuinely don’t like each other, this is an incredibly intriguing fight.
Enjoy the night. It should be great, great TV and a spectacular live event.
