Chad Hinton has been involved in fight sports since his youth, but took his first pro MMA fight just two years ago at the age of 36.
As a participant in the Bellator Season 2 lightweight tournament, Hinton will have the chance to expand his undefeated record against some of the highest caliber competitors in the world. Hinton, a Cincinnati, Ohio, native, first gained widespread attention this past April with his second round KO of two-time UFC veteran Jeff Cox at Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena.
In October, Hinton picked up another victory and advanced his perfect record to 6-0 with a Round 1 KO against the 28-year-old Justin Moore.
Hinton will have his chance to battle through the tournament to emerge as the No.1 contender and a potential face-off against Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez when Season 2 gets underway in April 2010.
