Who or what inspires you?

What do you do in your spare time, when you’re not preparing for a fight?
Relaxing. I like to go to beach and hang out with my family. I do try to visit my parents Brazil as often as I can.
If you were describing yourself as a fighter, what would you say?
I am a hardworking and determined fighter who looks for the win.
What does it mean to you to be fighting for Bellator Fighting Championships?
It means a lot. It’s very big accomplishment and I am blessed to be a part of it.
What are your thoughts on the Tournament Format?
I love the format. I am a person who likes to stay active and the layout of this tournament keeps me on my toes. It’s just the way I like it.
What would it mean to you to become a Bellator World Champion?
It’s my ultimate goal. Bellator is my home and my eyes are on the prize.
In 3 years, where do you see yourself?
I see myself defending that title and to be one of the best.
Which victory are you most proud of in your career?
Every victory is a same to me because I enjoy winning. It brings happiness to succeed to know my hard work has paid off.
What is your message to aspiring fighters that dream of fighting on a big stage?
To always keep working hard and keep your goal in mind. Push yourself and don’t give up because it always pays off in the end.
What’s the one thing you are most proud of that you’ve accomplished so far in your life?
Being a part of the Bellator family.
How did you get into fighting and when/where was your very first pro fight?
Martial arts movies initially inspired me to start fighting. I grew up a big martial arts fan and it inevitably motivated me to work out and train. I was 18 years old at my first fight and won 5 fights. That is how I got my nickname.
In a perfect scenario, what would be your favorite way to end a fight?
Submission, triangle or a KO head kick. Any of these would be great for me.
