Who or what inspires you?
God and my family
What do you do in your spare time, when you’re not preparing for a fight?
Love to be outdoors and listen to music. I really enjoy training, so unfortunately I do not have a lot of spare time.
If you were describing yourself as a fighter, what would you say?
Direct and always in your face. I feel that I am always evolving and willing to learn.
What does it mean to you to be fighting for Bellator Fighting Championships?
I enjoy going out there and competing, but my eye is on the prize. I want to win the belt.
What are your thoughts on the Tournament Format?
I liked it. It is a grueling process, but I think I’m better fit for it because of my background in wrestling.
What is your message to aspiring fighters that dream of fighting on a big stage?
Wrestling was so huge to me, so find a wrestling school in your home town, because nothing can prepare you more for this sport than wrestling.
How did you get into fighting and when/where was your very first pro fight?
I just saw it as a way to make a living after wrestling. Ben Askren was a wrestling teammate, so it was an easy transition.
In a perfect scenario, what would be your favorite way to end a fight?
Knockout. I’ve never had a cold knockout victory before, so I’d love to have it.
